Choose your wall finish
Consider the surface, profile and film together when planning a wall finish for your space.
Decide what the wall should do visually
Begin with the whole room: furniture, flooring, lighting and the wall area you want to emphasise. A flat surface and a fluted profile give you different design options, even when their colours are similar. Mark where each finish starts and stops on an elevation before choosing individual materials.
For a marble-look wall, plan where the pattern and panel joints will fall. For a fluted wall, consider the direction of the ribs and their relationship to doorways, ceilings and adjacent flat surfaces.
Separate the core, profile and surface
Our representative fluted wall panel uses a WPC body with raised ribs 20 mm wide. Its decorative surface can use PVC, PET or other available film finishes. The body material, rib geometry and finish should each be identified in the product description.
Rib width is one part of the profile. It does not tell you the groove width, overall panel width or usable coverage. Confirm those dimensions for the selected model when laying out the wall.
Choose the film for the exact application
Start with the colour, pattern, texture and sheen you want. Then ask which films are available for the selected panel. PVC and PET describe film materials; the name alone does not establish the performance of the finished panel.
If cleaning, wear, heat exposure or another project requirement matters, request information for the exact film-and-panel combination. Keep aesthetic preferences separate from the performance your application requires.
Review the surrounding details
Look at the proposed finish with the floor, ceiling and trim colours. Plan the grain direction and visible joints on the same drawing so the installer has one clear design to follow.
- Wall areas and the direction of the profile or pattern.
- Selected panel model, film material and finish reference.
- Doorways, corners, switches and transitions to other surfaces.
- Application requirements to confirm for that product.
